Q: Does Odorless mean it will not smell?
A: Odorless Fish Oil softgels are specially coated to help prevent fish burps. Sometimes the softgels can have a strong odor due to the gelatin. This is normal. You can air out the bottle for about 30 minutes to help let the odor dissipate.
Q: Why are the Odorless fish oil softgels cloudy? Is that normal?
A: Yes, the Odorless softgels are supposed to be cloudy. They are coated softgels to help prevent fish burps
Q: Does your fish oil contain purines?
A: Foods high in purines include anchovies, mackerel and sardines. These types of fish are a main source of fish in many of our fish oil products. We have not tested the refined fish oil for the presence of purines, therefore a specific amount is not available. We would recommend that you discuss any medical conditions related to or concerning purines with your healthcare provider.
Q: What is "mixed tocopherols" and why is it listed on my fish oil label?
A: Natural vitamin E in combination with beta, gamma, and delta tocopherols is known as “mixed natural tocopherols." This form of vitamin E is sometimes used as a natural preservative in fish oil. It is not used as an active ingredient or as a source of vitamin E. Therefore the amount of vitamin E does not need to be declared on the label. It is listed in the "other ingredients" on our label.
