Helpful Tips to Reduce Stress this Spring

Helpful Tips to Reduce Stress this Spring

April is Stress Awareness Month and it’s important to understand the toll that stress can take on your health and your life.

Ongoing stress that's not dealt with can affect your body in many ways both mentally and physically and is always best to see a healthcare practitioner with any concerns.

With Spring upon us, there’s more of everything to do! Longer days, more activities, kids’ sporting events, gardens to keep, brunches to plan, outdoor parties, and more! While all these things can bring great satisfaction, they also can add stress to your already hectic days. Stress is defined as any physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension. It’s important to recognize that you’re stressed and find ways to ease those feelings and cope with the pressure.

Take a little time (within that hectic schedule) to take care of you and your health. Here are some helpful tips on how to manage stress that you can do right from home.

  1. Body in Motion—if you already exercise—keep it up! make it a habit to get out and walk, bike, hike—whatever it is that you enjoy. Exercise triggers endorphins which can lift your mood and help reduce stress.
  2. Meditate—We all know meditation is a relaxing practice for inner peace and research shows that mind-body therapies can help ease and reduce stress.
  3. MusicWhat’s Your Jam? Whether it’s heart-pumping techno, foot-stomping country, head-bobbing hard rock, or soothing R&B, turn it up and sing, dance, or just enjoy. Let it take you away from the stress and put you in a better frame of mind.

Along with these and other tips, Nature’s Bounty offers supplements that are designed specifically for stress relief and helping to achieve a sense of calm.* Anxiety & Stress Relief supports occasional anxiety and stress relief as well as a relaxed mood with clinically studied ingredients Ashwagandha KSM-66® and L-Theanine.* Nature’s Bounty also offers Advanced Magnesium Glycinate which is a highly absorbable form of magnesium (360 mg) to support a calm & relaxed mood and help with occasional stress.*

We hope you find these tips helpful and provide a foundation for you to have a healthful and enjoyable Spring season, and beyond!
